With roots that go back to the late 1980's, our family began working in the Canadian wild food industry long ago. Harvester Randy Marchand and his sons have been celebrating wild mushrooms and plants for decades. Randy's passion for wild mushrooms was contagious and in 2022 owner and operator of Northern Wild Harvest, Phil Marchand began sharing their adventures on Youtube. With a goal to help connect people with nature through healthy and delicious food, Northern Wild Harvest aims to showcase Canada's wilderness and all that it has to offer.

"Growing up with foraging as a huge part of my life has given me an immense appreciation for nature. It has been a real journey that started at a young age, with my father Randy needing all the hands he could get to help harvest his mushroom patches. From scaling a rainforest mountainside for pine mushrooms to helping buy and dry wild mushrooms for the local farmers market, I am deeply grateful for the opportunities I've had in this field. I hope to teach and share the rich bounty of wild foods that our pristine Canadian environments have to offer."
